Dealer told me "production date" is March 15th. Is that when they will start to build it? or is that when it will be delivered?

I would say that is when it will be built at the factory. Probably would be delived to the dealer 2 to 3 weeks after that date.

Put the deposit on it in Nov, was supposed to be delivered in mid Feb but now Im told its a production date is the 15th of March which means I probably wont have it till mid April. WTF is all Im saying. Might just suck it up and get one with cruise (for free) because the dealer has that one in stock but its been sittin on the floor since Nov. Wanted it for the first planned ride on April 4th. Its b$ I tell you.

My dealer had my bike less than a week after the build (aka "production") date. I'm in Cleveland, near where the bikes are built in PA. You're not too far away from us, I can't imagine it would be more than 2 weeks tops before your bike is at your dealer.

In the car business, working at Chrysler Corp. production date was when it first hit the assembly line, and of course delivery date was when it was shipped to a dealer. Lot of politics go into all that. Again in the car business, a dealer may have to take delivery of a truck in order to get a 300M, etc. So it can be an open book of delays.
