Default Rinehart True Duals - Great Company

The Rinehart True Duals were put on my Ultra 6/16/05 by the original owner. I bought the bike 1 1/2 years ago with 4,000 miles on it. I took the machine out for a quick spin on Sunday and it ran like chit. So I brought it home and called dealer Monday morning. It's still under extended warranty. They picked it up today and checked it out right away and said that the left exhaust bracket broke and then the header pipe split. That caused the fuel injection to over compensate and then fouled the plugs. I only rode the bike 2 miles. Long story short, I called Rinehart and told them what happened and that the bike was at the dealer. They said not to worry that they would send out new parts, the improved design, to the dealer for no charge. The dealer isn't charging me for the pick up or return because they had just done a 10k service on it last week. I'll probably wind up with a minimal charge of an hour or so.

I just wanted you guys to know that Rinehart really took care of me without any hassle at all. They called the dealer and took care of everything then called me right back to let me know. So, besides manufacturing the great pipes that everyone wants, they have excellent customer service. I'll be a Rinehart customer for a long time.

Good to hear that there are companies out there that will still bend over backwards for their customers.

I've heard good and bad about Rinehart customer service and warranty, hopefully they will continue to take care of the customers.

I've had the True Duals on my bike since 2004, and in that time i've received 3 "updated" designs for the mounting bracket, as well as 2 new rear cylinder head pipes. They have been nothing short of excellent in my opinion.

Also, around the same time i installed my Rineharts, we were riding through west virginia on our way to DC for Rolling Thunder, when one of the guys we were riding with (SE ULTRA nonetheless) started having problems with his bike back-firing and generall running like crap. After having heard of issues with the Rineharts, we checked his headers, and found the mounting tab had pulled away from the pipe, leaving a huge hole in the rear cylinder header. We did everything we could in the parking lot of the hotel including JB Weld, a soup can wrapped around teh pipe and clamped, etc just to get him to the nearest dealer. Bub replaced the pipe with no questions asked, and even covered the labor. In my experience, one of the first class companies out there.

Stories like that make me realize that, despite the maneur we hear from the main stream media, this country is (and will always be) still great! There are still companies that care about their customers and are willing to do what is right to ensure they keep their customers!!!

Thanks for sharing and glad your scoot will be back to 100% with minimal out-of-seat time.

I'm glad you guys brought this up. The left header mounting tab broke off on my true duals too. I had a shop weld on a patch about 2000 miles ago.

But after reading this thread I just sent Bub an e-mail.

I received a reply from Bub in 3 minutes! They are sending me a new headpipe with the improved "saddle" mounting hardware. WOW!

I didn't mention it before, but my uncle broke his rear header at the same spot, and Bub sent him a replacement 4 years after he installed his. He had already had the existing one welded, but now he has a spare. They really are a good company for customer service. I mean, for what they charge...they better be
