I just returned from Memphis, put on over a thousand miles in two days! The Ozarks were perfect, other than the "wobbling" from the Electraglide. I was taking a long sweeper at 90mph when I hit a slight bump and she "wobbled." Didnt like that at all.
Here is my question;Anyone here have experience with one of those stabilizers? How much of a difference did it make? Do they all perform the same? How cheap can I get one?
Any insight would be helpfull,thanks!
There's lots of threads on this topic to look thru but generally they improve your ride. There are several different designs. Look at each one to decide which might work best for you. Some models won't allow installation of a center stand and some lower the ground clearance too much.
I don't think any are going to help at 90! Maybe 20 over but I think your on your own.
I have to disagree - I put a Bagger Brace on my '07 Road Glide and it improved both the low speed "wallow" and the high speed "wobble" a whole bunch. I've since ridden some very familiar roads at speeds well in excess of 90 mph and experienced none of the previous wobble symptoms. Best money I've spent on the bike.
I'm still waiting to get some more saddle time before i install my bagger brace. I want to get a few hundred miles in the spring before i put it on so i can see if there is a real difference. I figure, if nothing else, THINKING it will help might well relax you through those high speed sweepers and let the bike track better.
