Default Heim joint replacement

Just got the heim joints from midwest control came in quickly(GREAT) but hated the shipping charge(SUX) over $17.00 for just plain old shipping. The new heim joints are a little longer than the stock ball joint so I couldn't get a locking nut on one end of the threaded rod. I tightened the joint down using blue loctite on the threads (actually used blue loctite on all threads including shifter shaft and tranny shaft). Has any one done this or did I just jackleg my shifter linkage? Any for seen problems with loosening?

I used blue thread locker on the tranny shifter threads of my heim install. Blue will still allow you to remove the bolt if you have to, but it shouldn't vibrate out.

I use blue (242) to prevent rust. I don't think it really does all that much to prevent you from wrenching on it.

If you have one end with the lock-nut tight the rod can't come loose. The blue locktite will give you a little extra insurance.
