For my Road King Classic it ran about $320 at an HD dealer here in MN.

So far as where to do it, you'll get every answer in the book...do it yourself, go to an indie, go to HD. I have a about 4 dealers within 20 minutes of me, and I found one I like (so far), so that is what I do.

a few dealers will do free service clinics mine does it every year or 2 its helpful if u want to save some $ and do it yourself. they actully schedule classes for the various groups and put bikes on the lifts and let ya get hands on,worth it even if ya think your handy with a wrench.

My first service was $330 ( using Synthetic oil ) in Northwest Arkansas.
An independant said he would save me a $100, but thought I'd like the dealer to do the first one.

Mine was $279, but my dealer is the only one within about a 100 miles, so I let them do the first one.

Check all paperwork. Throwing in the 1st service at no cost happens quite often. They'll certainly do it if asked for.
