My wife and I just got into a huge fight over me buying something for my bike the other day. Today, I found myself in the Harley store deciding if I really needed the add-on or do I really want to keep it peacefull at home. I chose the add-on, like always. Now, I am sleeping on the couch tonight. But my bike looks sweet.....
Has anyone been there and done that? If so, lets hear the story.
I havent given in ti the "extras "policy yet, but when I do, its my money, so I wont have to sleep on the couch. But my hats off to you. Your a bold man.
had a friend that owned a Boat (just a Harley that floats) anyway... he and his wife used to fight all the time about $$$ until they came up with this... $50 = one "unit" so when the quesiton was asked "how much" don't worry Dear, it only cost 3 units....lol.... it worked for them.... just passing a story on...

Right after I got the road king, I was buying a few NECESSITIES and when wife found out she hid my check book, credit card, debit card, and my piggy bank. She was mad as hell for a few days. She is over it now, but dam it was hard sleeping for awhile.
I don't tell my wife about the expensive stuff (like the TVII), and always emphasize the bargain side of everything else. For instance, I bought a set of bare aluminum rocker boxes, cam cover, and tranny covers, had 'em powdercoated black, stuck 'em on and sold my chrome stuff on ebay (where I got the used stuff) for a major profit. I've done this with so many things off the bike that my wife lost track of what I've made and spent, so now I just say everything I buy was already paid for by what I sold.
A man always needs his own money. Get a secret checking account stash funds. (learned my lesson keep all records away from home) Buy chrome they will never know. Thats how im gonna get my stroker kit. ( she cant see it she wont know)
