I started out with hogtunes front speakers, and they sounded great, but I wanted a little more,so I checked with local audio shops, and they wanted to build custom boxes and run all kinds of power to them, but I did'nt want to give up my tour pak to do it.I looked at all the various amps and such, but after talking with Pez at hogtunes I decided to go with his new ultrasound kit which would add rear speakers and an amp to my eg classic, boy did I ever make the right call, the whole system preforms BETTER then I had hoped for,the installation was a breeze, and the clear instructions made it idiot proof. This is a product that I HIGHLY recomend. Thanks Pez.
The stock set-up on my, new to me, 03 standard sounds soooooooo bad I don't even turn it on. It's so bad that it was kind of a shock to me that HD would put such a POS on their bike. A sound upgrade is high on my long list of things to spend money on and had pictured sticking an amp and better speakers under the hood........
So my question is how good do they sound off of the puny stock amp? A rear add is not an option on my Standard so I am limited to the front.
I have just added a detachable tour pack to my 01 Road Glide. I would love to add the ultrasound kit with rear speakers. What will happen when I remove my tour pack? Do the rear speakers just unplug? Will this affect the performance of the remaining front speakers and amp,or will the ultrasound even work with the rear speakers disconnected? Pez I'm hoping to become another satisfied customer in the near future.
The ultrasound kit comes with new speakers and amp,the amp mounts on top of the stock radio and the speakers will fit right into the stock mounts.as for the stock radio,it runs through the and which by the way is pretty much plug and play, and it turns the stock radio into a little monster.
Hey Pez, I see your logged in so, please throw in.
Can I buy the amp and just the two front speakers? If so you have another sale as long as the price isn't way out of line. Shoot, the price was right on the speaker pair.
The kit has you in mind (eh). The amp has been in my bike since Sept with no rears and works fine. The plug on the back gets undone, and the tour box can come off with the speaker wires attached--making it literally plug and play for the tour box going back on.
I have a Canadian magazine coming by to review Hogtunes tommorow. Were start starting off letting him "test" the stock 06 system. Then, I will change thr fronts only and let him review that--then--I will finally install an Ultrasound on my own F**N bike!! A big reason the review is being done is cause I made such a big deal on how easy the system is to put in. Ill make sure to let you all know how I like my own Ultrasound
Well there gang,
I went to PEZ'S site and emailed..........Had a reply back in no time and I placed my order. I have been wondering how to make my POS sound system sound better and was sure I needed to add an amp. PEZ writes me back and tells me I just need the speakers and not the amp for my two speaker system.......... Fewer bucks for him........ On top of it all I am insured that I don't need to F around trying to make some after market speakers work - Plug and play. I LIKE honesty..........PEZ has a new order and the price was great.
PEZ can ride with me through the Colorado Rockies anytime.
We've been trying to decide whether to go with the HT's or buy the wife an iPod. I can hear the stereo when it's turned up full blast but wife can't hear it at all. I'm tired of listening to music full of static and bad sound. She can't make out anything but screaming. SO my question is....will having the HT's allow me to turn it up (not full blast) and still be heard by the wife?
