Default 09 FLHT Standard factory antenna wiring

I have added an aftermarket radio to my Standard.
Someone told me they all come with the antenna wire running back to the rear as part of the wiring harness.

I connected the radio and used the antenna that came with the kit ( 24 inch wire you just leave inside the fairing. I thought of use the external antenna but can't find it. We I miss informed about it being part of the wiring harness?

Has anyone done this ?
I have the service manual and it's no help.

It's in there on my 08, under the fairing on left side and under left side cover just behind the fuse block.

I've seen it there as well. I believe it's runs along the frame on the left side. I have a standard and I just installed a power antenna under the fairing.

How is that working out for you ?
I have the antenna that came with my Biketronic's kit.
If I'm in town it works but let me get a few miles down the road and it's gets bad.

It works fine. I've never had a problem with reception.

The flhx light works of the same connector that the ultra tour pak plugs into which is why the run/brake option is out there for the rear tri bar light on the flhx.
