I cut my stock antenna in half on my 09 rg because of the detachable toureing pack. I ground the fiberglass with bench grinder till the wire where visible and stuffed fine copper wire arount the antenna wireing and glude the cap back in place works good and saved me a bunch of b s with the relocating antenna

Since the standard doesn't come with a radio I doubt the wiring is there.

the antenna wire is under the left side cover coiled up and ziptied. the other end is under the fairing. all you would need is the mounting bracket and the antenna at the back

I ride a Standard and installed my own radio(Sony). I installed a hidden antenna under the fairing and it works great. No need for the Harley wiring, which is there, just plug it in the back of the radio. As soon as my feeble brain finds the name of the company I will post it. By the way, it is the second one, the first was a flop.

Put my feeble brain to work and came up with the info. Search the web for Cota International Inc and purchase the MSA-1 hidden antennae. I did, installed it under the fairing, and it works very well. Quick and easy install, plug and go.
