are these trask performance bro bars. if so are they the 16 inch ones? I just ordered these in 16. i originally ordered the 12 inch ones and they were boring.
they are nice but a bitch to run the wires thru. there are holes at the bottom to help pull thru, but thos little points at the top are a tough turn, just be prepared for some serious beer drinkin' during this install, took me around 5 hrs to get them mounted in a road glide, run the throttle wires first, I didn't do that, would have made it easier I think
Dealer charged me 5 hours labor for the install but I know it took them longer since they got hung up on Day 1 running the wires and I gave them the solution Day 2.
Went +6" on the Clutch & ABS upper line also required a new mid line and wire extensions from Namz, used Sterling Magnum Black Pearl cables.
$275 bars off "brand new" off EBay private seller
$200 Clutch cable, ABS lines and wire extentions
$325 labor
$25 misc. supplies
$75 sales tax
~$900 total
BTW plan on spending more time & money than you think to install them. Depending on size (12" or higher) you'll most likely need to change the cables (clutch & throttle) It's also a real pain in the *** to pull ALL the wires through, but obviously it can be done. Toughest part is getting the wires past the top bend.
Also, take the advice from guys here. Most guys say go a size higher than you originally want. I wanted 10's but "listened" & went with 12's...they were right! They won't steer you wrong & they are always more than willing to help.
These bars are worth it. You'll love 'em.
