Still looking Paint Code Candy Root beer
Today I had some free time so I stop my buddies body shop w/ my side cover to show him the color I wanted to shoot the faring he sends to to a paint shop who then sends me to another one who deals with PPG paint..Well the paint guy tells me he cant find the color in his data base the then trys to match it by eye on the computer which I thought was stupid considering the colors dont look no where near the same on the computer just look at HD website anyway he puts the machine on it to read the paint and tells me it only about 75% accurate and not to rely just that any Ideas anybody know a good hacker maybe he can break the top secret HD code LOL..Anyway any help would be appreciated..
That's what I was trying to tell you earlier.....When I was looking for a harley color a few years ago, I had to ignore their database, and look through their book, one of the 2-3 inch thick ones....and I found it.

Go to your local paint store that sells PPG.They should be able to mix it for you and if they dont have the info they can get it. Min local supplier made a call for my brandywine and then mixed it up for me. It still wasnt a dead on match though but it will work .
I didnt read your post good enuff i guess.. I cant figure out why the ppg place couldnt help you. The guy I went to just made a call and had everything he needed? I could look up the number if you wanna call and ask them..

Harley does not give out their paint codes, PPG gets a sample and match's it then says it's Harley's paint code. It's not really Harley's paint code, it's PPG's version of a Harley color. Close enough for most, some colors may be off more then others. If you want a perfect match use Harley paint.
Leave it BLACK and call it a day.......ride more.....worry less......LOL. Let me know if you want me to check at the place I was talking about in Beachwood. I will need a sample. Be Safe JIM
Actually the harley paint aint bad for price but they only sell it in qts. When you can shoot an inner fairing with a 1/2 pint and have product left over why would you want to buy a quart. Of course even in ppg there are some colors they will only mix in a pint or bigger but they did mine in a 1/2 pint.. it was 94.00 as opposed to 281 including shipping for the h/d stuff and thats without the top clear coat. Ive had mine long enuff that if i was gonna spent that kind of money id repaint the whole bike
.. I also use something that was easily touched up..

The only code I could find for 2009 ultra is a light root beer candy.
PPG CODE 922703
OEM CODE OC1611-62/60 I believe is the Harley code.
At least this is what my PPG computer is pulling up.
