Default Protecting Electronics While Welding Question

I need to know how to properly protect my bikes electronics while using a mig welder. I may tack a bracket on for a project I am considering and don't want to damage anything (ECM etc). Whats the right way to do it?

The safest method is disconnect the battery + and - post, and remove the ecm connector also, and run the stinger and ground as close together as possible.

+1 on what John said. Best advice and about all you can do. Thats what we do in the factory on a machine with plc's and electronics kill the power and keep your ground clamp as close to where your welding as possible shortens the path and with power off on machine or battery should be ok.

You shouldn't weld electronics, you should solder them instead.
