I have had a fair number of problems with my Fuel Moto setup (Jamie has been awesome backing his product up) and now I think I have found the problem. I went to install a map that Jamie / Kieth sent me and low and behold the Power Commander had no power going to it. I reset the thing and now it seems to be working fine. Has anybody else seen anything like this?
FX4,
How did you know you weren't getting any power to your Power Commander (was it a PC V or PC III ???) , and how did you reset it ??
thx, eddieo
PCIII - No green light when the ignition is turned on. So I couldn't load a map. Well I thought the unit was dead and I plugged the 9V battery into it and it powered up. Now it seems to be working with just the ignition turned on. Little bit stumped and a little concerned. I wonder if there is some kind of protection circuitry in the thing that shuts it down if there is some kind of event?
Hmm...mine has always worked with the ignition set to the run position. Its still working now. I have no idea why it shut down. I checked it and double checked it. I even fired the bike up and had no green light. Plugged the 9v battery in figuring maybe a bad connection. It lit up and stayed lit up with either the ignition on or the 9v battery attached. I never reseated the connector. So I'm a bit stumped. The bike is now running as it should. Don't know but if it happens again I will gave Jamie a call. Gremlins man, gremlins.
