Default Reverse miles count down

Rented a 09 UltraClassic earlier this year and the count down to empty was a nice touch that is not on the 07's. Is this retro-fittable to 07's?

Just be cautious with this. It's not exactly accurate. When my countdown gets down to LO, I still have over a gallon in the tank. Others have reported running out with 20 miles showing on the remaining amount.

My '08 has it, I've seen it go from 39 Miles to 22 Miles in less that 1 mile. I've also seen it go the other way. It's about as useful as the air temp gauge.
