Go for a 3000 mile ride, that will tell you what fits and what doesn't. Make you bike fit you. If it doesn't fit you won't ride as much. Then work on performance. Upgrades can be done during normal service, weather you do it yourself or have it done.

Ride-Gas-Ride ... sounds like the best advice to me. Eventually you'll figure out what you want/need.

good solid boots and good glasses (clear and tinted both). Your feet are the first thing you may need to keep the bike up. If you ever need to put your foot down hard for support sturdy boots will be loved.. I saw a friend I haven't seen in years riding this weekend he has Moto Guzz and was wearing slip on boat shoes. I thought WOW if he ever needs his feet those shoes will be off his feet in a second. Get yourself ready then do the bike

The dealer threw in the 4 point docking system and passenger backrest with the bike. They also gave me the little pump for the shocks (a must if you don't have one). I went with highway pegs and seat first then the fuelmoto package. Next will be an oil cooler for the 100+ degree days here in the Houston area.

First thing I did was wax it so the bugs will come off easier. Boy am I glad I did. My first buy was an 8 inch windsheild that I have not installed yet, and detachable tourpack so I can take my wife for a ride.

To sum up what most have said in this thread: 'Let the bike talk to you. It will let you know what it wants and needs'.

For me, the sound of the bike is important. I would go with the air cleaner, pipes, and tuner.

I really appreciate all the Posts. I actually have to go pick up the machine in Wisconsin and ride it to the house in Texas. So I get a nice break in period.
