Default vss location?

Does anyone know where the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is mounted on an 07 Street Glide? I've looked every where and can't find it on the bike or in the service manual. It used to be where the neutral sensor is on the 07 and up. Any help would be great, I'm having some speedometer issues and I think it may go back to the vss.

Which service manual do you have? I ask because my HD 2004 has an index in the back that lists the VSS, and the page reference given has a picture of the VSS location showing it on the right side, forward of the oil filler/dipstick. HTH.

Yeah, that's where mine shows it and the one at my local dealer too. But mine isn't there, I have a neutral switch where that manual shows the vss. The neutral switch has two wires running out the top of it, I wonder if it is both the vss and the neutral switch?

Yes the speed sensor is under the starter, directlly behind oil the oil fill spout, it is shown in section 8.22 in my 08' service manual.

Really!? Damn, I looked in there with a flash light and all I saw was the stud for the ground wire on the motor. Maybe it's alittle closer to the right side of the tranny. I couldn't see that area to well. Thanks, I guess I'll just pull the starter out and take a look.
