They are gonna take the whole bike... When they get it to where they want it they will fire up the mig welder and cover the seat with something and tack weld a wrench to your fancy bolt and wal,, ah another item for the bay ..

Hey 6874, Thanks for the tip. I was never concerned about anyone stealing the stock seat. Especially when there are so many alligator and ostrich seats that will fetch a lot more money in the stolen seat marketplace. However, I was mildly concerned about the phillips screw driver slipping and scratching the fender. Thanks for the info.

Ya, it was never really about theft protection. It was just to replace the ugly philips head screw with a better looking fastener.
