I have a 2007 Ultra, original tires, approximately 5000 miles on the odometer. I noticed today when I was out riding that I am getting a vibration when I am going through left hand curves/sweepers....doesn't seem to have any affect on handling, just annoying and a little disconcerting. Right handers are smooth. At first I thought it had something to do with the road surface, but I realized that it did not matter what kind of road I was on. Tire pressure was set at 38lbs. Tires look okay. Vibration seems to be coming from the front.
Any ideas as to what might be causing it.....or is this normal?? Thanks for your suggestions/ideas.
If this is happening while you are on the throttle, loading the engine better get to the dealer quick as you have a crankcaes runout problem and it will only get worse.
gregmay & sweet07....I thought about both these as possibilities (not getting a Road King); I wouldn't think that the problem (if one of the above) would be noticed on left hand curves/sweepers only, but would be present all the time?? BTW, thanks for your input!
Take it to a dealer and let a tech ride it, the dealer I use had a bike doing the same thing, it kicked thier butts before they figured it out and it only did it in a left hand turn under power. It to was a 96 with low milage.
Frame or steering head problem? I'd take it to the dealer and let him ride it. There's probably lots of things it could be, but hopefully the dealer can troubleshoot it for ya.
