Default Hero *****

I read with interest another thread that talks about scraping footboards and even scraping the engine gaurd!!.

I too have a lot of wear on my footboards after just 5500 miles and I was wondering if anyone had made or bought hero ***** for their boards. I was going to make a skid style one but if someone sells something then I will just buy it as time isnt on my side lately.

For those who dont know what I am talking about have a look at the footpegs on a dyna or sportster or sport bike they have a 3/8" pin sticking off the bottom that touches the road before the peg. If you scrape them you are a hero, hence the name.....

I don't know about all that but if you put some magnesium (sp?) under there you throw some cool sparks.

I already throw some cool sparks, according to my mates behind me. But footboards are expensive!!

I was behind a CVO softail springer on the Oxley hwy a few weeks back, man, his frame was throwin some good sparks too!!

I have always looked at footboards as wearable item, once they become to sharp time to look for replacements.Have been thinking about skid pads.

If you make something that works and is pretty cheap... I'm interested!
