Now if ya break the spring on a Road Glide fairing glove box, ya have to buy the whole cover.
As for typing, I'm so good at it, I only need to use two fingers.

I had one broke on mine.So I ended up buying a box of assorted torsion springs.Found one that kinda matched up.

When the other side broke,I just installed some locking latches to keep the doors closed.

Check to see if the strap is folding and staying under the gasket when you close the lid. I turned my strap over but that didn't help for long. Finally developed the habit of using the strap to pull the lid toward the closed position and that lifts the strap away from the top lip of the bag.
