Just posted this on another thread so even though the original post was from 5/09 I thought I'd cut and paste my 2 cents here.

New bars, mirrors and conchos covering the fairing mirror holes.

Bars are Ergo 'back" bars from Klock Werks.

Mirrors are "Low Brow" from Joker Machine.

Both items available from forum sponsors Cateye Customs as well as Dr. VtTin among others.

No cable or wiring modifications were needed.
(Crappy camera + Crappy photographer = Crappy pics. Sorry)

With new bars. Notice how they totally block view of the fairing mounted mirrors:


New mirror with old mirror:


New mirror with foam backed concho covering old mirror hole. Will do for now until I find something better.

 

I just put standard ergos on an wish I would have went with the backs.

 

they make a plig kit on ebay for cheap t plug the mirror holes in a sg

 

I have the same bars. I used Paul Yaffe Bagga Chips to cover the holes. They are $100. I ended up getting a different inner fairing.

Primo, that is a bike I like. Its subtle and you wouldn't notice all the differences until you stopped and looked at it. Especially if ya walked by the front and didn't see the inner fairing work!

I have a set of Ergo backs I am going to put on my ultra. I see you and several others have said you DON"T need to change anything out. I also saw some say if ya don't ya have to run that clutch line inside the fairing and not thru the fairing. But it appears you ran yours thru the fairing. Did ya reroute elsewhere? I know there are tons of directions and opinions but I figure since I was commenting on the bike I'd just ask you. Especially since you don't seem to be one that got rid of the bars, you like em

Great pics, been looking at these, looks like its time to get the wallet out $$$, actually sounds like its a lot cheaper going with these.
