I like my buddies bars on his 02 much better than my bars on my 06. they are wider and higher. My question is can i do a swap without doing cables?

Not to burst your bubble, but your 06 stock bars are 55924-97 as is the stock 02 bars. His bars, if different from yours, are not the stock bars on his bike. So the only way to answer your question about cables is to know if he used the stock cables on his bar swap

Well that sucks, any clue what bars they might be? They are just alittle higher and wider, not much but they feel much better. For such a big heavy bike i would think the bars would be a tad wider..
