insert the cd that came with your pc-v, then click on open map file. from there you'll see the map it came with. you got it from fuelmoto hopefully, if so then it came with a map that fits your bikes accesories, i.e. air cleaner, mufflers or pipes, etc. after you find the map in the map file, you'll find fuel then cylinder 1 and cylinder 2. below each cylinder there is the word table, click on table and it opens the file that shows you each cell for rpm, throttle percentage, etc. if i'm thinking right, the number zero equals no changes to the original settings of harley's ecm. +2 would mean 2%increase in fuel. -2 would mean 2% less fuel, so it's pretty much self explanatory. heck i'm not computer literate at all, and i was able to figure it out, so it should be cake for someone with +2 active brain cells. hope this helps.

might be easier to just call keith or jamie at fuelmoto and have them walk through it with you on the phone while you're at your computer. get this, they sent me my pc-v with a map for the wrong year and the wrong pipes etc. so i call them and within a couple of minutes they sent me the correct map while we were on the phone and i had the computer turned on, he emailed it to me, and i went to best buy to get a 10' usb extension cable so i could park my bike near the closest window to my computer, and i downloaded the map to the pc-v, and it took all of perhaps a minute. they're very helpful at fuelmoto, and keith was really helpful, as it must have been aparent to him that i wasn't too much of a computer whiz, so he walked me through it. so there ya go, if i can do it, i'm thinking it'd be easy for almost anyone. hope this helps you.

i bought it from my local guy with a nice discount, my understanding is you download from a list depending on your set up. i see the original map, but isnt there other maps to download? also, cant you do this before you install it on the bike?

you need to go to powercommanders website and choose a map that is close to your combination and download it. from there you can send it to your pcv.

you should have purchased from fuel moto. the have great prices, excellent customer service and maps for just about every combination

Check the map now by having a dyno done. Thats the good part about dealing with fuel moto, the actual dyno was done on a bike with your same set up before map installed ie no dyno needed after install on your bike.

i got my PCV preloaded for my 09 ultra. ran extremely better, but i felt it could be better. took it and had it dynoed, in 1 hour and thirteen pulls later the guy got 7+ horsepower increase. don't accept the fact that just because a bike with the same add ons as yours will be the same.. get it dynoed.

But you don't say whether you got the PCV from Fuelmoto or not. So for $350 you got the additional HP I have on my little push lawn mower. Maybe not such a good investment. Seriously, my PCV from Fuelmoto was dead on, runs cool, no decel pop, third time around doing it this way with them and the same results each time. As you can tell, I'm not such a big fan of putting my bike on a dyno but then again theres not one I would trust within 200 miles. If you spend $300 plus with a guy for a dyno he has an obligation to at least lie to you and tell you he made improvments.
