Problem with headlight modulator

Problem with headlight modulator
I just installed a Bikerbuddy headlight modulator. It seems to work as it should during daylight hours but when the sun goes down it still has an erratic flash which it should not do. It only does it when the engine is running, turn the engine off and the erratic flash stops. Got any ideals as to what it could be, something to do with the charging system maybe since it only does it when the engine is running? Also there is no problem with the low beam it works perfect engine running or not day or night.

dontdropit,I can't tell you what the problem is. Because electrical gremilns are the worst. But, if you don't mind my advice. I would tell you to take it off and throw it as far as you can. I had one and it gave me nothing but TROUBLE. It had me chasing ghosts all over the bike. Not worth it.
On top of that when cagers saw that it was a motorcycle and not an emergency vehicle it would appearantly **** them off and they would pull out right in front of me.
