hogtune amp
I'm running the speakers and tweeters now...and have heard mixed reviews on the amp...some say that the set-up is better with out the amp...so with the factory radio is the amp worth the $$$?
Well, been on this forum for 18 months since I got my Ultra but have never posted. Thought I would start here. (read a ton of great stuff and this has been a very valuable source of info for me)
I did get just the hogtunes amp from PEZ. I am fortunate that I live close enough to their shop that i was able to go and get it right from them. I have the front and rear hogtunes speakers as well as the hogpod. While they made a great improvement to the sound on my bike, the amp really makes it rock. The hogtunes amp powers the front speakers and the hogpod leaving the HD HK head unit to power the rears.
The most noticeable difference the amp made was in the bass response and sound clarity. I have a set of rineharts on my bike and I can now hear the stereo clearly at any speed and I can also crank the volume up much louder without distortion.
I would recommend the amp and I would have no doubt PEZ can work something out for you

Hogtunes amp ...... DO IT!
I already had the tweeterpod and speaker upgrade. Installing the amp pulled it all together. Much louder volume for a given setting and the base can actually be heard with the OE 4" SG shield at 50mph! When I get around to putting my 8.5 recurve back on I'm sure the sound improvement will be dramatic.

I just bought a Pyle 400W marine 4 channel amp for $66 on sale. I know you get what you pay for, but Pyle is a good brand name. I'll let you know how she sounds when I get it installed.
I just upgraded to the new speakers and an amp. speakers were a breeze to install however with teh amp, I'm stumped. Its going in an 07 RG and, well I guess with the basic instructions that came with it, I'm "in over my head" lol. Any new RG owners nstall the amp ?? Thanks
