1k service tips
I am approaching my 1k service and plan on doing this myself. I am looking for any and all tips for this, including on types of fluids you guys use. Any help would be appreciated!!!
I plan on doing most of my own maint as well(with the manual of course). My question is: Is there a stipulation in the warranty of who can do the maintenance not to void it? Like a liscensed harley mech.?

Definitely have the Service Manual ... Goes a lot easier if have a jack ... As far as what fluids to use are plenty of info in the oil threads .. Will get a lot of opinions there..

2) You need torque wrench(s) that work for all the specified torques.
3) You should take detailed notes. One, it can document things for warranty if necessary, two, it's nice to refer back to prior to your next service etc.
4) DO EVERYTHING IN THE MANUAL. The 1k service is not an oil change. It's three oil changes, cable lube, lever lube, hinge and lock mechanism lube, steering head inspection, lube, and adjustment, clutch adjustment, belt inspection and tensioning, spoke tensioning, spark plug inspection, various other inspections, and very important, critical fastener torque check.
Set aside a bunch of time for your first one, it takes an experienced tech 3ish hours to do it.
