Default Which Dunlop E3

Time for a new rear tire and I have been thinking about trying out the Elite 3. Which one do I need?

MT 90B-16 or MU 90B-16

The 160/80 B-16 is only 3/8" wider than my 150 Metzeler and should slide in without much problem. Anyone do this yet?

Also is there any problem with running a E3 on the rear and a Metz on the front?

Thumbs up

I did the 160/80/16 and have zero problems with it. It really looks better from the back end now with a little fatter tire.

Should'nt be a problem, they have simaliar tread pattern, but why would you? Why not run either Mets front and rear or both E3's. The Mets have a little softer compound than the E3, so the E3 will last a little longer.

The MU is nearly the same size as the stock 402.
It also has a higher load rating than the MT.
No problem with different tread on front.

Ran an E3 rear and D402 front for about nine months and no problems except the usual D402 groove tracking. I installed an E3 front two months ago and groove tracking has decreased.

E3 on the front of my bike and 402 on the rear. Not working for me. Got a bad wag. going with E3 on rear tomorrow. Only got 2000 on rear tire, what a bummer.
