Default Oil on muffler

I have a 2008 FLHT with Stage 1 download, Super Trapp mufflers and an Arlen Ness Super sucker. After running hard and then parking the bike the next morning I am seeing a drip of oil on the floor and it is coming from the bottom of the left muffler. There is not an oil trail from anyplace I can find and don't have any leaks from the engine, tranny or primary that I can find. Any idea's where it could be coming from?

Primary Drain Plug is the first place I would look. Then the primary/tranny seal, but that should have oil on the back side of the primary case.

Have you checked the vent from the transmission?
After a hard ride the pressure builds up and the oil expands ...
Then again it could be weeping from a seal ...

Default Oil on Muffler

I have 09 Ultra and had a similiar problem. After a hard ride I would have oil on the crossover pipe and left saddlebag. Turns out it was leaking from the primary seal and was replaced under warranty. Good luck.......

Check your shocks. This is what I found after seeing oil on the bottom of my muffler.

Finally got a chance to look hard and after replys on the forum here I found it was the shock that was leaking. Thanks for all that replyed. I took it to the shop and new shock on order. I have been riding for 42 years and I have never had a shock leak. Fork seals yes but never a shock. New one on me but thanks again for the help.
