Ok I didnt know that finding a seat for my 1996 ultra would be such a pain in the butt!! How or what are my options can I modify my bike to accept the newer seats? I just am getting real frustrated with everything when it comes to wanting to increase comfort and what I have found available out there to fit my bike are just plain damn ugly almost like the 1970's style??
ok well I guess that pretty much explains it!! Allen looks like the answer, i did look at corbin and those that area available for my year model are ugly!! but the question still is can a 07 seat ne retrofitted to my year model? I will just be without my bike for a week when i send it off.....

Not that I know of but where there is a will there is always a way.
I had a 96 RK and the seats are limited for those frames. I found several on ebay and finally settle on a corbin. I also bought a mustang seat on ebay - didn't care about the condition as long as the pan was good and then talked to the folks like C&C and Mean City about having it cutom made. That is a very good option.
Buy an extra seat for the pan and then get one made like you want.
Ok, I got the appointment with Allan at Mean City for the 16th of July!! I had to re-mortgage my home but I am taking your word for it!! I hope the work is as awesome as I hear!!
