Angry driver floorboards

I recently bought a 09 ultra classic. the owners manual says see the dealer for driver floorboard adjustments. I'm pretty mechanical but I don't see any way without parts this can be done. The dealer's parts guy says no parts available. Can anyone help me out???

The brackets are fixed on the '09's compared to a vertical adjustment of 1/2" on '08 and earlier models. The MoCo sells a replacement pan kit (footboard) #50409-04 that has the attaching points on the underneath side of the pan offset by 3/4" thus moving the footboard forward 3/4".

I didn't know that. WHY did the MoCo do that? Was it a cost saving venture? The first thing I did when I got my dresser was raise the floorboards as high as they would go.

They redesigned the frame and also changed how the footboard bracket attaches. It is now a fixed setup and they also changed the bolt hardware from a 1/2-13 to a 3/8-16.

With so many riders adjusting the boards, you would think HD would have LEFT them adjustable when they designed the new frame.
