Hi , Iam looking for a good 8 inch windscreen for my ultra. I purchased a Memphis shade last year and it didn't take long before the screen started to fatigue crack through out the windshield . Purchased a Air Blade this spring for it . A Chrome Smoke one !! ( Looks cool , I think ) Just washed it for about the 4th time and the film of the Chrome smoke came off in about a 4inch piece !!! Great !! No warranty . Just wondering if anyone knows a good ( dark or smoked ) 8 or 10 inch windshield that will stand up ..?
I had a Fastaire 8", dark tint, on mine for about 25,000 miles. Just replaced it with a 6" with dark tint. High quality, low price and Jim is a great to deal with. Take a look at: www.fastaire.com
One thing I forgot to mention, if you are cracking windshields, check your fairing brackets. The outer fairing is easy to remove. When I was cracking windshields, I had 3 out of 4 brackets broken.
