Most here have had a problem with the Harley horn. Sooner or later they quit working. I bought the Howards air horns. You can also buy one from AutoZone that will work and last for ever. Northern Tools also sales a air horn for about $30 that if very loud. Harley horns only work to get someones attention if you throw it at them. Get rid of the Harley horn before you really need a horn.

Take it off, check the leads, and make sure you aren't grounding out somewhere. Clean the posts with sand paper, and put some dielectric grease on the pigrtail. That horn will work fine if it's properly connected. Air Horn is definitely the way to go though if you want to get some attention.

Try wiggling or cleaning the wire connections at the horn. Mine works halfassed sometimes, and blares at other times. Always seems to be the connections.

Mine was sounding like you stepped on a fish! Took it off and it has lots of strange things in it. Replaced it with one from NAPA. Bolts on like the stock one under the cowbell and is much louder.

I never had a problem with a Harley horn over thirty some years until I got my 07. On the 07, if it gets too wet it will quit working for several days until it drys out and then it works just like new. If yours got wet, it should be good to go in a couple of days.

Pull the wires off the horn and fold a small sliver of aluminum foil over the end of the male connectors. Reconnect and the problem is gone. Fast, cheap and easy.

Clean the connectors and spray the whole inside with silicon spray. Usually fixes it right up.
