just so you know, I am not against the TBW, I was just sharing my experiences with the issues I have had to help anyone else who may be experiencing the same problems.
My bike was a very early production 08 and like several others, just have the misfortune of some software issues...
TBW is here to stay....and I don't have an issue with that...I do have an issue with the number of faults I have experience with this system. Just like other electronic software driven systems...there will be the exceptions that draw our attention...this is one.
Again, my intent was only to share my experiences with the rest of you in hopes it may help you if you have similar issues... Ride safe.
In the "old days" bikes had accel and decel cables running from the throttle grip directly to the carb/throttle body.
Damn, I thought the accel and decel cables were "new" technology. In my old days we had one cable, accel only, depended on the throttle return spring to decel ....... then there's my ol' man's bikes dating back to the early 30's, now there are some setups to play with.
The fact of the matter is that some people embrace change and others do not. I for one do not really like the TBW because I JUST DONT... I do love my cruise though lol. I also think that the TBW is a very nice idea... Just needs to get the bugs worked out just like everything. I mean look GM is still working their bugs out hahaha. Anyways I think some people are taking this thread the wrong way. It is to inform others that TBW has presented some issues with others. Not to bash TBW or to "discredit" the MOCO in any way. Just enjoy the new tech or dont either way we all "should" ride and love our motorcycles. We should all share the passion of riding. So stop fricken complaining and live life. And not comense the flagging and flaming of my post. LOL
