Fairing wrap
Has any one ever done a fairing wrap or had it done? I've seen fairing wraps with graphics like you see on a truck or car. They wrap the front fairing and it looks good. Wonder how much that would cost? Appreciate any info. Can you buy the wrap on line and do it yourself? Thanks
I've never seen it done on an HD fairing, but I have seen a wrap applied to a van in person. I can tell you that it absolutely NOT a do it yourself project. With all the compound curves on an HD fairing it would be a challenging job for even an experienced installer.
the graphics are dot matrix and are fuzzy looking up close not much detail. local business had their chevy Equinox wrapped and the cost was about $900. but when they want to sell it the wrap is expected to come right off with no paint damage. newest Hot Rod mag has an article on wrapping a 67 Chevy convert.
Some graphix shops are using good laser quality printers and it can look as good as paint, the dot matrix look is for over the glass...A friend owns a shop and she does them all the time....she wants to do mine, but i have not let her yet. she has made me decals to put on my scoot and they are awsome....looks like it was painted on.
Also like one other person said it is not a easy job getting that stuff to lay down good, i would let them do it.
