any lettered road in the Mt Horeb area (near belleville), is great.

from bellville start wandering north and west. you won't be dissapointed. stay off state highways. named road in the country are interesting in this area. you can get anything - nice twisties, nice scenery.

just be aware that some of these roads are a bit rough.

Hwy 60 west of Madison is a nice ride. Go to Sauk City and west of there too.

Any county (letters) roads are good usually. Just jump from one to the other and you'll have a blast. Even some state highways are good too.

Geez, I could spend days on end (I *have* spent days on end) buzzing around the SW Wisconsin highlands... Hard to find a bad road.

I worked up there last summer for about 60 days. My work had me running from Belloit up a little north of the Dells (Mauston). Lots of good roads up there.

Grew up in Madison, agree with all above posts, you just can't beat riding the county roads there. Be prepared to eat some very large bugs :-)
