I have a Zep on mine as well and by my best guesstimate, I would say that it lifts you up about an inch and moves you away from the tank about 1 to 2 inches. Not actually measured, mind you. I just feel like I am reaching more for the bars. I like my riding position now. I felt like I was riding on the tank with the stock seat.

Hope this helps.

BTW, Pull your seat off and look at where the vinyl cover is riding on the 09 frame... The frame will wear a hole in the vinyl withing 800 miles. Don't ask how I know. I ended up glueing some pieces of black carpet where it was rubbing.

I love mine. I air it down for around town and have no problems with it. 5'11" with a 32" inseam. My wife is OK with it, but she does not like the angle/position the pillion sits at. It allows her to slide fwd and she gets the butt burn from it. She loves the stock and I hate the stock. I am pulling the cover off the pillion and am going to reshape the foam for her... hopefully that works.

On a long ride, vary the air bladders a little and it changes your position enough to aleviate any discomfort. I usually end up blowing the thing up and ride kind of on top of both bladders with my talebone in the middle...

It also doesn't look so big if you have a tour pack on the bike

I bought one for my 09 glide and just rode 4000 miles around the country the last few weeks including an 800 mile day. The seat sets you where you need to. With the air adjustment I can air the front bladder and move away from the tank and vice a versa.
I've had 3 different seats custom built with memory foam and gel. and The Zeppelin tops them all. I'm 6' with a 32" inseam and I can reach the ground fine. You just get use to the additional height.

I've probably put 40,000 miles on mine in the last two years and never had that problem. It is definitely the best of the three seats that I have had on the bike.
