Most of the wires you can coil up and tuck in the well by the battery. They all fit okay under the SE seat I put on mine.

hey ccgobama ...

got the same thing and looking to do the same thing. Does your setup allow you to put your pack back on? Also, did you leave your cb mounted underneat?

Take the cable for the head set and run it out of the underseat cavity on the left, down and around the fuse box and back up and into the bike infront of the battery. I put mine there as I'll never use it. The other cables will coil up in the spaces around the battery as well. Get you're self a stubby flexible antenna from an auto parts store ($15 CDN) and mount it inside the fairing. Put the antenna cable from the tour pac in the underseat area first as you won't need it again either. Now if you get a tour pac docking set up, it's just the plugs for the speakers and the power feed fro the lights and CB antenna if you use it. I don't.

I wanted a QD tour-pak, but still have it fully functional (except CB, which I never use). I knew it had been done many times before, but searching the forums produced no tech-tips etc to help. I finally decided to do it myself, & found that it was actually pretty easy. Here's a link to instructions I wrote for ppl who were looking into doing the same mod. I hope it helps some:

Hmmm, link doesn't seem to work, filter seems to be obscuring part of the address. Email me at: white1808@bellsouth.net & I'll send it.
