Default Removing Fairing QUESTION

I'm going to have my inner fairing painted. Do I need to replace the rubber trim that goes around the inner fairing or will I be able to use the current one? I have an 09 Ultra.

Thanks

You don't HAVE to, but it's easier and is pretty cheap. The glue is inside of the new piece so you don't have to mess with putting new stuff on the old trim.

Reused mine, and now I have a little drop of dried super glue on my beautiful painted inner fairing. That says it all I think.

I bought a new one it was only like $5 at HD, my old one was a little messed up, but if yours is in good shape and you want to try and put adhesive in there then try it. But it's a time saver to just get a new one.

Reused them, they were in great shape. The factory adhesive sucks. Apply Super Glue with a toothpick, even a caveman could do it. Never had to touch them again.

If it's under 10.00, buy a new one. You spend all that money and time doing a great inner fairing and you don't spend 10.00 for a new one??? That makes no sense to me.
