My wife falls asleep all the time. I don't think it's much of a problem though. Nice and quiet and she's not complaining! LOL I really think in most cases they would wake up way before they were leaning too much or anything to cause any problems.

I can understand your concern. I would not like it at all if my wife fell asleep in back; especially sense she made me buy this bike so that we could have more quality time together.

Besides, she can't sleep while riding with me anyways; way to terrified; it's the screaming I hate.

My Kids fall asleep and so does the old lady, has never been a problem. I wake them up for twisties and heavy traffic.

I think falling asleep/passing out on the back of a bike is not safe.
That said...My daughter did the same thing years ago riding from Satellite Bewach to daytona Beach FL. The G/F I had at the time never believed the story...until she fell asleep on the back of my bike.
I changed the route we would take so that there was more redlights, and stuff to look at along the way.
But I can just picture someone, asleep....leaning too far to one side and then awakening quickly.....sitting upright and throwing the bike off the road.
Smelling salts or pepper spray may help? (If she is Sleepy.....you must be Dopey?)

My wife dozes all the time,, with the tour pak wrap around and my backrest she is pretty secure. Never close to falling off but the head bump on my back now and then lets me know she is dozing. Not on any twisties or tight roads but on wide open steady speed cruises it happens a fair amount.

Let her sleep it's "HER CHOICE" which is what I thought riding a motorcycle is all about.

Yeah I gotta agree, the 1st time my wife fell asleep and her helmet banged mine it startled the hell out of me. Now I slide back against my backrest, she tucks her hands under her crotch real tight and with me leaning back on her she is pinned in real tight. But we have headsets so usually if I know she has been back there dozing about 30min I will whistle into the mike and she'll wake right up. But mostly she just nods off & on.

sounds as if it is pretty common. Mine wife fall asleep to, and I just ask her if the insurance is paid up, I guess I have been married longer than you have.
