My OL has slept thousands of miles leaning against a regular backrest and never came clost to falling off. I don't worry about it. Between her being wedged between my backrest and hers and then having the saddlebags on the side, I doubt if she could fall off.

What about her feet do you think her feet would slide off of the foot boards and under the bike just dont know what to do. just let her sleep??

My wife does the same thing on our Ultra. She kept falling asleep last week coming back across I-68 from Morgantown WV. Sometimes it worries the hell out of me. I have thought about getting those extended arm rests to further help lock her in. I have told her the first time she falls off will probably be her last and that I'm gonna run bungy cords around her and attach them to the tour pak rack. I'm glad she is comfortable on the bike but like her to be awake. Anytime I feel her falling alseep I crack the throttle which usually wakes her.

Get a T-shirt that says, "If you can read this, the Bitch fell off".....

And yes, be concerned, falling asleep on the back is NOT a good idea...IMO

Even if she wakes up and gets startled without falling off, that might not bode well for you both.

Yep, it's happened to me a number of times. I tell her if she's feeling sleepy to put the index finger (pointer) on each hand through my belt loop on the respective side. That way if she starts to lean, I feel it immediately and can smack her leg with my left hand to wake her up. Sounds crazy, I know, but it works for us.

I guess if you're OL is 7 feet tall, you might have to worry about her legs dragging under the bike...LOL.

My wife wont sleep on the back, but last summer she told me to pull over cause she was gittin sick, before i could even start to slow down she blacked out passed out what ever u wanna call it, she was goin off on the right side when i grabed her, i got the bike stoped and had to lay it on the ground to keep her off the pipes, Yes i think it dangerous to sleep back there, and i had a tour pac with the big backrest, O yea she wasnt drunk it was the heat LOL

If you are worried about having her fall off the bike while you are riding, test your theory. Get on the bike, keep your feet on the ground. Have her get on there, and have her lean different ways to see if it's possible for her to slip past you.

My wife dozes on my bike as well at times, especially after all day on the bike. I slide back a little bit, and she's pretty pinned between me, the back/side rests, and the saddlebags. It's different if we are going to being a lot of curves or in-town driving than on the interstate. On the interstate, I let her snooze...she's not going anywhere with me in front of her.

My wife falls asleep all the time. I use her as a backrest though, so I just lean back a little and secure her in the seat. If i'm going into some twisties or heavy traffic, I wake her up
