Just got the Road Tech handle bar mounted mp3 player but can't get it to work. Need some help with this or taking it back!! I have an ipod nano that I've added velcro to mount on the dash if I must.
Okay,Okay,Okay,Mine didn't work either and the folks at my dealer were clueless so just for fun I went to Office Max and picked up some extra cards, programmed a couple of songs and it came alive-all the songs we put on the original card was time wasted but...

I have been using mine for over a year....works great! If I remember correctly, the original SD card didn't work. Used one that I purchased at best buy and it worked. Make sure you format the SD card as FAT 32 and all the songs are at the "root" level (no folders). If you are burning the songs using Windows Media Player, it will burn the songs into folders by default.
Also, you need to hold the play/pause button down a little longer then just a quick press....depending on the size of your card, it will take it a minute or two to start. I use 2Gb cards and it takes about 1.5 minutes to turn on.

I think maybe thats the problem!! I would turn it on, it would show "001". I would press the play pause button and get nothing. I have a 1 gig card that I've been using in my phone and its the same one I need in the road tech. the files are correctly loaded as well.
I will wait a few minuites to see if it starts playing. thanks for the input guys. Might save the dealer a headache![:'(]
Just put one of those on my dads ultra a couple of weeks ago. No problems with it, but we didn't try the original card cause it was to small. Did you try hitting the play button again and wait a few seconds, you might be putting it on pause right away. Just a thought, cause I think my dads starts playing when you first turn it on, but i could be wrong.
ONE MORE THING. IF IT SEEMS TO HAVE A VERY LOW VOLUME LEVEL CHANGE THE POSITION OF THE SWITCH INSIDE. YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE OUTER SHELL TO DO SO.SEE INSTRUCTION BOOK.

I'll have to check into the volume leveling tomorrow MACK. I finally got it to play but the volume is very low. If I can get the volume to adjust to the level of the CD player or better yet the ipod I'll keep it. Thanks for the input[sm=icon_rock.gif]
