Help Bagger Bar Install
Ok, I have done several searches with no luck. I am getting ready to install a set of PYO 10" monkey bagger bars on my 2006 Street Glide. I have done a set of Wild1's Chubby's on my wifes Street Bob a couple of years back. So I am looking for suggestions or tips for this project. I already have the one piece top clamp. I remember seeing a link to another site showing a step by step guide on handle bar replacement on an Ultra I think. I saved the link some time ago but my computer has crashed since then.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys,

Thanks guys,
I would think the hardest part is getting your ignition **** off. Key in the slot and push up on the little tab underneith and it comes out of the tree. The rest is just nuts and bolts. Be sure your cables and wires are long enough and cover your gas tank.
Here ya go. It's an older road king, but has some good info.

Thanks, I have used other info on the harleyhog.co.uk site before. They do a great job documenting with an abundance of photos. Just wish I could find the one that I saved and can't find now. It was a swap on a Blue Ultra. It was a personal web site.
Bought one when the bike was new 06/2006 and have used it extensively. Looking for experience, it is the best teacher.

I installed the 12" monkey bars on my 09 Street glide. As mentioned above, the ignition switch was a huge headache for me. Other than that, pretty straight forward. You will have to loosen your radio and slide it back some to get to the back bolts on the top clamp. Be extremely patient running the wires inside the bars. That is a very time consuming part of the install. I removed the sheathing and wrapped the wires very tightly with electrical tape. Used plenty of wd40 and they went through pretty easy. PM me if you need any further help. I have done a bunch of bars over the years, but this was my first fairing bike to do. It took me around 5 to 6 hours start to finish. Good Luck, you will love the bars!
Woo-Hoo thats the link I was looking for. Thanks guys this forum is the best. We all help each other out when we need it. Like I said in my first post I had done my wifes new bars on her Street Bob and it had internal wiring so I understand the part about being patient.
Thanks again
