Had a Ultra guard half cover, I had a sewing shop put some slits where the antennas poke through and sew that area tight. Works great, half cover at work ( midnights) also use it when parking at a rally parking lot ( keeps the sun off the seat and other things) and if a pop up shower happens, seat and electrics are covered.
Packs easy, I've gotten where I use it when I travel.. Have a full Ultra cover also but the half cover is so damm convenient..
I don't see a reason for them unless you need a quick coverup when your pipes are hot. Other than that I just don't get it. Just use a full one.
I am using a full cover right now, but I was thinking of switching to a half-cover for when my bike is parked at work - as a second cover. Our parking lot is only a couple hundred yards from the ocean, with lots of seagulls flying around...
Quik shades are only for temporary coverage, such as short trips, going to the mall, dinner, beach, etc. MINOR things. They are meant to protect your bike from the sun, bird pooh, and minor natural events.
They are not meant to protection from rain storms, vandalizism, major dust (ie long term storage). They don't come are far down as your pipes. It does what it's designed for VERY WELL.
And who wants to ride around with a huge full cover????? I only use my full cover when I put it in the garage and know I won't be riding for a couple weeks.
