Please! Need Help
Bike is a few weeks old, I've added:
- Driver/passenger backrests
- 360 hwy mounts/pegs matching shifter pegs
- Bra (this is coming off)
- Windshield
- Wild Pigs (supposed to be here today)
- Sundowner (arrives Thursday)
- Chrome baffle
- Laydown Plate
and I did my 1000 mile service. I'm at about 1500 miles over three weeks. So another ~$70 for the oil/filter etc.
I already know I need a tuner (PCIII, SERT or Terry Components - losing sleep on this one), Stage I A/C, Cruise control, true duals, saddlebag lid liners, floating rotors (damn break squeal), saddlebag locks. This doesn't even touch the chrome list I've got. Former Navy, so I've gotta get all those cool Navy covers/medallions.
For the record, I take no responsibility, and I blame each of you for my addiction. Zanotti's, Chicago HD. It's like giving JD Blue to an alcoholic. You should be ashamed of yourselves giving away links like they're candy. [8D] And what's up with the pictures of those modded bikes? You people are probably the type that would stand at the bottom of the building yelling, "Jump you p___y"!...to a jumper. Don't you know what you're doing to the FNG's? Have you NO shame?
Need help to save marriage. As much as the wife loves the bike, I'm afraid she's about to take my CC away. You guys are so generous with your help, if anyone wants to donate the rest of my shortlist, let me know and I'll send my address. C'mon guys, give where it hurts!
God knows, I can't stop.
I now fully understand the statement that buying the bike was just the down payment. I've also learned that FORUMS are nothing but catalysts to spend more money.
Seriously though: I'd like to say thanks to those of you that spend your time writing constructive reviews of the products you spend your hard earned money on. I'd like to say it makes the decision easier when it comes time to buy, but the better alternative is that I'm making informed decisions, so, "This Bud's for you Mr. HarleyModManiacHDForum Guy"
Keep the shiny side up,

Had a jap bike and a wife for years. Neither satisfied. Got rid of the jap bike, and the wife, bought a Hog, and got a girlfriend. Life is much better. Expensive proposition, but absolutely no regrets. Not recommending you try this, but in my case it worked. Bottom line: you work hard and pay the bills, your stuff is your stuff, credit card included. Go easy on the bike though, get the stuff you want, but pace yourself. Leave some room on the card for fill-ups!
Congrats on the ride! Have fun, be safe, and ENJOY!

sounds to me you've been busy adding and not riding. Now the bike is too heavy for the twinkie engine. No substitution for cubic inches, BIG JUGS.

I'd be interested in hearing more about this 'pace yourself' concept though
