Has anyone had trouble with the seat on the Screaming Eagle Ultra 2009. I have had to replace mine two times in 12 months

 

I haven't heard of anyone having problems with the SE Ultra seats but the local dealer has sent us 3 SE Road Glide seats to repair. The front of the seats had gotten a gap between the gas tank and seat, around a 1/2" with the rider off and over a 1" when the rider would sit on the seat. This was cause by 2 things. 1. the seat pan was just too flimsy, so I had to reinforce the seat pan with metal strips. 2. the front of the foam had came unglued to the seat pan and the glue we use is much better than what HD uses plus we wrapped the seat with a thin foam and stapled it under the seat pan to insure the top foam couldn't come loose again. You would think a $30k+ motorcycle would have a better seat on it.
