Oh, you are asking for it.

There was a thread a month or two back that had a lot of information on running car tires. Might see if it shows up in a search.

I have not been able to find one in the harley size. If you find one let us know, there may be 1 or 2 of us who may also want to try this.

I assume by going to the dark side you mean putting a car tire on a motorcycle.

Yeah, I was wondering what a dark side tire is. All my friends think I went to the dark side when I got my Harley. And hey, 8000 miles out of a tire on a bike ain't bad, especially if it has any grip. My Hayabusa used to eat tires in 6000 miles easy, when touring, no burnouts, conservative riding. If you mean getting a car tire, I just gotta know why you would want a car tire on a bike. You can't turn with one. Do you just ride in a straight line all the time and put you feet down in the turns as you tip toe through? (I've actually seen people do this at Daytona).

I have a 2007 Triumph R3 that I went to the dark side with, can't tell you much about your tire size but I put a 245 Yokohama on the triumph it fit the stock rim and just misses the drive shaft.

Buddy of mine just bought a use Honda Valkyrie. I noticed it had a car tire on the rear. All I have to say is wow.

Recommended a bike tire for the rear. Hmmm....

There is a video of a guys bike after installing a car tire on his bike. He mounted a video camera under the bike to catch what the tire was doing while turning. I will never, let me repeat, NEVER put a car tire on a motorcycle. You're fina as long as you are going down the highway. But, let me tell you, if you attend a lot of poker runs, and go across any uneven surfaces at slow speeds, you will not keep it up for long.
