Storage
Being from the great northeast it is time to put the bike up for the winter. I have an enclosed trailer that I was thinking of using for the winter storage. Has anyone ever tried this and if so are there any pointers you could share on this? Thanks
I stored my '97 Heritage Springer in my enclosed trailer from November to to the following August about 5 years back. I didn't have any issues. This year I am planning on putting both bikes in it. The problem I have in my pole barn is when I heat it up to work in it, everything starts sweating. Just plan on using battery tenders.

I store mine in the living room, the wife gives that funny look ever once in a while but she knows not to say anything. She knows she'd loose.
Just kidding I have a climate controlled garage
It's to hard to get it through the door.

Put gas stabilizer in the tank and fill it up. Run the the bike for a few minutes so the stabilizer has a chance to run through you carb or injectors.
Hook up a battery tender and that should be about it.

good cleaning, coat of wax, full tank with fuel stabilizer, battery tender hooked up and covered with a sheet (you could also spray some fogging oil in air intake until bike stops running then remove spark plugs spray in spark plug holes and crank over engine a couple of times)

Re: getting the tires off the concrete. What does that do? Is this myth or fact? If you ride it all winter the tires stay on the concrete/asphalt. What do the tire manufactures recommend??????? Have always heard this, but don't know if it is really necessary. Lets see some facts please.
I'll put a piece of 2" Styrofoam under each wheel to keep
them from setting on the cold floor.
And add 2"x4" blocks of wood under the jiffy-stand to
keep the bike in a better upright position.
Seems like the tires had a 'dead or flat spot' on them before
putting Styrofoam under them.

Un heated trailer verses unheated garage-fill the tank put in stable run bike to get it through your fuel system- change oil and filter top off brake fluids-- note do not inter mix brake fluids use only the one recommended for your bike mixing a dot 3 with a dot 4 will gell your brake fluid and dot 5--if you dont put a battery tender- on remove your battery so it dont FREEEEEEZZZE and use decon for the little critters
