Question Stage IV

Would a stage IV be to much h.p. and tq for a bagger and with the 58mm throttle body how much would the gas consumption go down.

Thanks

no such thing as too much for a bagger. Honestly, the touring frame is the most solid in the lineup. so, what exactly is a stage 4 anyway?

From the 2010 Screamin' Eagle Pro Racing Parts catalog (pg. 19):

The 103" Stage IV kit (P/N: 27517-08A - '08 & later Touring models: $2399.95) includes high performance heads / high flow Screamin' Eagle Performance 110+ Heads which include large intake valves at 2.120" diameter (our biggest ever), high compression forged aluminum 10.5:1 pistons matched to the 110+ heads, an SE260 cam to open the valves appropriately, allowing the right balance of air and fuel to enter. Perfect-fit Pushrods to accomodate the higher cam lift, a 58mm EFI throttle body to get that air flow to the heads, big 3-7/8" diameter highlighted cylinders, then topping off this kit with a "must have" Super Tuner to provide the right tuning capabilities. Kit includes gaskets.

Had IV on my 08 absolutely loved it. I'm thinking about doing it again. No such thing as to much power. Heard rumors of a better kit coming soon from the winter meetings.
