Default How does this EFI fuel fitting cover work?

I know this looks like s foolish question, but on the new 2006 Ultra I just got I was looking for the fuel on/off/reserve valve. Obviously the piece shown in the photo I have attached is the fuel valve gizmo and it does swivel outward 90-degrees, but I cannot tell what is on, what is off, what is reserve.

I am guessing that in the position shown in the photo it is in the ON position. So, is 90-degrees to the tank OFF? Thanks for helping.

Do you have a carb or EFI? If you have EFI you are not going to have an on/off/reserve fuel petcock.

It is EFI cycle. So, I'm guessing I do not have a fuel shutoff?

Yeah, no cutoff. Thats just a cover that hides the fitting that does not need hiding....

Correct. I just read that in my manual today.

Thanks all. I looked at the manual and only had instructions for fuel valve on carb bikes, like my 2005 FLSTC. I feel a bit foolish now.

Dont' feel bad, the only foolish question is the unasked one. Just get to know your bike. Watch for the low fuel warning because there is no "reserve" on an EFI bike. If you run out of gas you are pushing your bike. The fuel gauges are well known for being inaccurate. Just keep track of how much fuel you have to add when your gauge says you are close to empty. Lots of guys use their odometer trip meter as reference too. Enjoy the scoot!

Congrats on your new scoot. I too have a '06 ultra and love my bike. I use the odometer as a fuel gauge. The fuel gauge is consistent with the miles run tank after tank but by learning your range in miles you should never run out of gas. That's as long as you get to a gas pump on time.(ha ha) Enjoy your new ride!!!

Don't. If that's the worse you do, then you're golden.

They DO make covers for the fuel tank fitting, maybe that's what you were thinking?
