I been using the Heritage style bars for just over a year but they are still not as comfortable as I would like. I need some ideas from all the Roadie's out there. I need to be able to lean back on my back rest instead of hunching forward to reach the bars. Some pics would help also. Who is using what?
As you well know - doing a search will bring back LOTS of 'handle bar' posts .. Main problem is - handle bar choice is very different for each person. What works for me may not work for you. I am 5'6" and have ridden on both EG's and RG's - I have gone the handle bar route like you.. I have learned a riders really has to combine BOTH the proper seat choice with the handle bar choice..
for me on the RG - it was a Corbin custom in house made seat combined with the Wild1 517 bars... I roade from CA to Savannagh and back and felt Great - now you may ride the same bike and hate it...
Now back on the EG - for two years before the RG - I went with the wild1 575 on the EG but after riding the RG with the 517's - I LOVED the pull back - had to search, but found a Flanders that worked for ME...
Getting a bar that works for you is kinda like finding a good woman, lol... good luck..
Can't give you personel info for roadglide, but, I put the harley touring pull backs on a 06 streetglide. They are taller than stock and are two inches closer to you. I was having neck pain with the stock bars. I have since traded for an 09 streetglide but for some reason I do not have the neck pain with the stock bars.
I know there are a ton of bars out there. I was just hoping some Roadies out there could recommend some bars with quite a bit more pull back. I am so sore from leaning forward to reach my bars. I already have the right seat for me to reach the ground, just need something with more pull back than the Heritage style bars on my RG.
